Brentford 1 Yeovil Town 3
21st August 2012

James Hayter scored two for Yeovil as they won at Griffin Park as Brentford were their own worst enemy.

A defensive error by Tony Craig who crossed the ball across his own goal helped to gift the James his first goal of the evening.

Brentford started the second half stronger and equalised ten minutes into the second half when Clayton Donaldson shot came off the post and went in.

Midway through the second half the Bees could have gone into the lead when seemingly under no pressure Yeovil defender Webster handled the ball.

Paul Hayes, making his Brentford debut and with his second touch having just joined the action replacing San Saunders saw his penalty saved by Marek Stech.

The penalty save gave the visitors fresh impetus and Hayter scored his second of the night and restored the Glovers lead with just ten minutes on the clock.

With the clock ticking down and only a few minutes remaining Craig intercepted a low cross and in the process smashed the ball into his own net.

Hopefully the Bees can iron out their defensive deficiencies on the training ground prior to the visit of Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
