The Bees headed east to the Orient but didn’t get a take away despite dominating possession and creating enough chances to have won the game comfortable.
With the nation watching, well those who watch Sky on a Thursday night at least, the Bees played Orient off of the park.
The Bees dominance was such that if it had been a boxing match the referee would have stopped the bout at half time. The stats showed we had ten shots on targets to Orients one but in truth the ball might have been going in the right direction but the power to beat the keeper was just not there.
In the second half Orient made more of a game of it and with three players offside their substitute Ryan Brunt scored a late goal to steal the points and to leave Brentford travelling home empty handed.
Uwe will rue the missed chances and the failure to capitalise on our possession. If we had a tardis to travel back in time to retake our chances we could all be celebrating a five, six, seven or eight nil win. There is no doubt that we will play worse and win.
