Suggestion of Season Ticket Saving plans
6th January 2010

BIAS has today written to the football club with details of schemes which if adopted could assist Brentford supporters when they are coping with the expense of paying for their next season ticket.

Luke Kirton had introduced BIAS to Thamesbank Credit Union, a fellow mutual and community organisation – who were wondering if they could offer better terms than are available at the moment to Brentford supporters.

Kath Richardson from BIAS has been liaising with the Credit Union on the Associations behalf and believing there could be a net benefit for Brentford FC and the Club’s supporters we have submitted our initial outline proposals of how BIAS envisage the scheme could work.

There would be several payment schemes whereby supporters could use a combination of savings and loan to buy a season ticket, or ticket bundles equivalent to a season ticket at the most affordable rate possible with payments via Pay Point or standing order available. So monthly payments of £35-40 from February could get you an adult season ticket with early bird discount for next season.

To allow us to continue to develop the initiative we have asked the club to indicate a willingess to

a) to agree to special ticket bundles, b) to commit early bird prices to Credit Union members even if they're not paid in full at the beginning of April.

If you would be interested in using this scheme, please email feedback@bias.org.uk to let us know how much interest there would be.
