BIAS have been advised that further to our email enquiry regarding the online fee that Brentford Football club has decided to remove the £2 fee online all together until the system upgrade is applied.
As of Thursday 13th September Brentford FC club will be absorbing the cost including the charge to the club by the website administers, the fees that the bank charges for credit cards and the cost of postage.
Mark Devlin has agreed that this is the best way forward so as not to disadvantage those who prefer to use the online system to order tickets for Brentford FC home games.
Brentford FC also hope that by doing this that they can encourage more fans to give the online system a try and encourage more fans to purchase in advance early for games. For the time being there will be no charge online for those who want their tickets sent out or who want to pay by credit card. (Please note the postage and credit card fees will still apply if fans purchase over the phone).
It has also been mentioned to BIAS that if the Football club see a rise in online sales due to the fee being removed that consideration to keeping the online service as a free service to fans even once the upgrade is applied will be given.
BIAS would like to thank Katie McClaren, Brentford FC’s Ticket Office manager and Mark Devlin for the positives actions taken.
