South Coast and South Downs Bees
16th September 2012

Derek Hill, a Bees fans who commutes to home games with a couple of friends from Crawley has agreed to become the Regional Co-ordinator for the Bees South Coast and Downs region.

Derek knows that there are more Bees fans in the Crawley and Burgess Hill area and said that he will will try and get involved, as it seems that BIAS are thinking along lines which we have said to Brentford a long time ago, that we have followed the bees as did our fathers, even though we all moved away we still follow, but the shame now is in schools the young ones now it is just the big clubs, but there is lots that could be done to get more back to the Bees. So we see what we can do.

BIAS has already established that there are at least four Bees fans in the region who would be prepared to drive mini buses to Bees games and now that Derek has been appointed we will contact them to see if it is feasible to get some trips of the ground.

How the regional branch and Facebook group develops is really down to people like Derek who get involved. We know that there is a lot of Bees support in the Solent, South Hampshire, West Sussex areas and we hope to find further Regional Co-ordinators for the west of the region

The groups can bring those who wish to car share together, arrange social evenings, or when games are televised, evenings in a pub watching the game with other Bees.

If you would like to get involved, to become a co-ordinator, a mini bus driver and to help Derek with the mission of bringing Brentford fans together then please let us know – we would love to have you on board.
