BIAS in the North West
3rd October 2012

BIAS are pleased to announce that Mancunian/ Sale born and bred, Chris Horricks has been appointed the Regional Co-ordinator for the North West of England.

Chris who started supporting the Bees through his best friend who had heard an interview in which Marcus Gayle had said he used to play for Brentford. Chris and friend followed the Bees together for a portion of the 96/97 season but following the Play Off loss to Crewe his friend lost interest. Chris on the other hand gained enthusiasm for all things Brentford and in the ill faited 97/98 season was mascot on four separate occasions, at Oldham (1-1 draw) Wigan (0-4 defeat) Burnley (1-1 draw) and Blackpool (2-1 win). Whilst in education Chris dad would drive them both to the Bees matches played around Manchester and to Brentford FC’s big games such as cup finals/ play off finals. Since graduating and entering employment Chris is now a regular fixture on trains, travelling as far north as Carlisle and as far south as Southampton. A couple of seasons ago Chris had met a fellow Manchester based Bee (who has since moved home to Leicester) and theye now attend games together fairly often. Chris love the experience of being a Brentford fan as it is far more involved and hands on than most other supposedly 'bigger' teams, players regularly tweet Chris, and at Chesterfield last season a chance fancy dress based twitter conversation with Jonathan Douglas resulted in him giving me his shirt. Chris has also championed his credentials as a Bee by representing the club on popular BBC quiz show Pointless, along with his Dad, and they won £1000 and trophy into the bargain.
