There is no doubt that the previous migration of people from West London has meant that Brentford FC now has a lot of fans located throughout the UK. Recognising this, the BIAS has created Regional Branches to expand the reach of the Association to bring exiles together and to unite Bees around the country.
Two of BIAS's objectives as laid down in the Association's constitution are to:
a) maintain and increase support for Brentford Football Club and
b) to bring together all persons interested in Brentford Football Club.
The notion of regional branches is to assist with these aims, but how they evolve is down to those involved.
Regional branches can arrange car aharing schemes, minibuses or even coach travel to home or away matches and if desired work together and collaborate with each other to get ideas and adventures off of the ground. Maybe social evenings, such as bowling nights (local regions could challenge each other) or when games are televised, evenings in a pub watching the game with other Bees.
The initial thoughts are that each region will have a Regional co-ordinator and can use Facebook to create a Regional Group page and e-mail to keep members informed and up to date with activities. The details of the Regional Coordinators are given below. All members of local branches should have either Adult of junior membership of BIAS.
BIAS would like to hear from others who would like to become Regional Coordinators too, especially from people in Hampshire, Buckinghamshire or the Bournemouth area. Your involvement and your thoughts would be truly appreciated. If you would like to get involved please contact BIAS at feedback@bias.org.uk.
