BIAS Co-Chair first Fan Advisory Board Meeting

BIAS Chair Adam Hobbs co-chaired the first Fan Advisory Board (FAB) meeting on Wednesday 19th April.   The FAB is part of the Premier League’s Response to the Government White Paper on Football governance and forms part of their new Fan Engagement Standard.

Four places on the FAB are allocated to BIAS, including the co-chair position, the other BIAS representatives are Ronald Mansveld, Taylor Dawson and Angelo Basu. The other co-chair plus three further positions are allocated to Supporter’s Trust Bees United, there will be up to four representatives from other organisations or individuals.

Whilst the FAB itself will focus on the more strategic and long-term elements of the club’s off-field operations, there will be multiple working groups which will focus on the day to day issues that affect Bees fans.  These will be on Ticketing, Fan Behaviour, Sustainability, Women & Girls Forum, and Food & Drink.   BIAS will participate in all working groups and forums.

In terms of the meeting itself it was a positive night with discussions on the makeup of the FAB, Club Finances, Sustainability and Stewarding.  The summary from the Football Club can be found here on the club website.

The next FAB is expected to be before the start of the close season.   In the meantime, BIAS will work with Bees United to finalise the Terms and Reference and Code of Conduct.

The strength of BIAS influence is based on the number and activity of our members.
