BIAS statement: Cliff Crown

BIAS is angered by the recent comments made by Brentford Chairman Cliff Crown towards supporters’ trust Bees United during a fan event in the USA. We call upon him to issue a public apology for the disrespectful remarks made.

Brentford fans invest their unwavering loyalty, time, and emotions into supporting our team. We have been left disheartened and let down by his comments around Bees United misappropriating owner Matthew Benham’s funds during their majority shareholding between 2006 and 2012.

He not only insulted the very essence of fans commitment during Bees United’s ownership of the club but also undermined the unity and spirit that binds the Brentford football family together.

We, the fans, are the heartbeat of Brentford, and our passion fuels the players on the field, the club’s success, and the community that surrounds it. Without our relentless support, the club would not have achieved the recent milestones and victories that we all hold dear to our hearts.

Therefore, we urge Cliff Crown to take full accountability for his actions and offer a public apology to the fans. An apology is not only a sign of personal responsibility but also a commitment to learning from this incident and embracing the values that our football club and its supporters stand for.

We also call upon the club’s management to act appropriately to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur in the future. It is essential to provide awareness to cultivate a culture of respect, understanding, and empathy towards fans and Brentford supporters’ groups in general.

I have been a Bee, long before Cliff Crown showed up. In Matthew we trust. Crown can do one as far as I’am concerned….

He should resign.
A Chairman is a representative of our club not a stand up comic trying to get cheap laughs.
He does not represent me and many other fans i know.

It’s time for the slug to leave the lettuce that sustains him. I’ve been a Bees fan since the mid 1970s and never felt more offended. Give him his P45 NOW, Matty!

Never been more disgusted in my 50 years as a Bees fan. Sorry, Mr Crown, but it’s time for the slug to leave the lettuce that has sustained him for so long. Please, Mr Benham, give this tw@t his P45 NOW!
